About this guy right here

I am a formally educated physicist. However, I believe that formal education is not strictly necessary and that a person with sufficient motivation and intelligence in principle is able to do anything.

Currently building Libra: using LLMs to automate legal workflows.

Previously, I spent four years as co-founder of Ento Labs. Applying machine learning to energy consumption time series and related building data with the goal of optimizing energy efficiency and minimizing CO2 emissions. Simply put: The easiest way to eliminate energy waste in public and commercial buildings.

Before joining Ento Labs I completed a PhD in power system engineering and energy finance at Aarhus University and Danske Commodities. See my publications and dissertation. My project was split in two parts: 1) modeling the future electricity grid of Europe and 2) pricing and hedging an international portfolio of long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) for wind power. This followed my degree in physics, also from Aarhus University, with some IT consulting (cloud infrastructure, full-stack web development) bridging the gap.

Towards the end of my PhD and in the beginning of building Ento, I worked for Siemens Gamesa as a Machine Learning consultant. In this project we used machine learning and deep learning to optimize the manufacturing process of offshore wind turbines. Our results were so promising that it led to the creation of a startup with funding from Siemens Gamesa and the Danish Energy Agency.
